That’s where we come in. Our dedicated team has developed a groundbreaking solution – FLeD patterns. These patterns serve as a guiding light, offering practical solutions to common challenges faced when flipping classrooms. They are not rigid teaching plans, but rather flexible guidelines that encourage reflection and improvement in learning design.

If you are looking for inspiration on which pattern to choose for your flipped classroom, you can check out these schemes to get your ideas flowing. While the first is more generic, the remaining three attend to more specific problems:

 

 

 

 

In our project, we are dedicated to improving the effectiveness of flipped classroom learning designs. And we believe that the key to success lies in five core components.

Firstly, flexibility. Our pattern is designed to offer customised teaching and learning that adapts to the needs of all participants, whether in physical or virtual spaces. With our guidance, you can create a learning environment that is truly tailored to your students.

Secondly, inclusion. We believe that every student deserves equal opportunities to learn. Our pattern helps you to reflect the needs of SEND students and marginalised groups, with a particular emphasis on gender equality. Together, let’s create a classroom that is truly inclusive.

Thirdly, collaboration. Co-regulated learning processes are essential for negotiating and building knowledge towards a shared goal, whether face-to-face or supported by technology. With our patterns, you can facilitate collaborative learning that empowers students to take charge of their own education.

Fourthly, self-regulation. Active regulation and monitoring of learning is crucial for success. Our pattern supports the use of strategies to analyse tasks, monitor the process and evaluate performance. With our guidance, your students will become active learners with a deep understanding of their own progress.

Finally, digital mediation. Technology-enhanced learning offers a range of opportunities for digital learning. Our pattern considers all teaching delivery modes (face-to-face, fully online, blended) and digital support. With our help, you can discover the power of digital tools as an instructional tool, as the context of learning or as a chance to disrupt and expand learning.
